1. Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds are applicable only under the following conditions:
• The item received is damaged
• The item received is incorrect / not the item ordered
• A customer wishes to return an item for any reason within 2 days from the arrival date
2. Condition of Returned Items
To qualify for a refund:
• The item must be in its original condition and packaging
• The item must not show signs of use or damage caused by the customer
• Proof of purchase or order number must be provided
3. Return Shipping / Courier Costs
• If the return is due to the customer’s personal reason (change of mind, no longer needed, etc.), the customer must send the item through a reliable courier service at their own expense to the address provided below.
• If the return is due to a mistake on our side (damaged item, incorrect item received), Warnasooriya Book Depot will cover the courier fee and arrange the refund of delivery expenses or send a courier to collect the item.
4. Refund Process
To request a refund:
• Email info@warnasooriyabookdepot.lk with your name, order number, and reason for return
• Attach clear photos if the item is damaged or incorrect
• Our team will review and respond within 3 business days
Once approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Refund processing may take 3–7 business days depending on the bank or payment provider.
You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been processed.
5. Items Not Eligible for Refunds
Refunds will not be issued for:
• Items returned after the 2-day refund window
• Items damaged due to misuse, improper handling, or negligence
• Digital products or downloadable items (if offered in the future)
6. Exchanges
Exchanges are not currently supported. Customers who wish to replace a product must complete the refund process and place a new order.
